FIVE SPECIAL DIVISION 1 ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. We are returning to meeting at the Czech Hall. After a failed three month experiment at meeting at a different location, we are returning to meeting at our normal meeting location at the Czech Hall, 4960 Landsdowne, just east of Kingshighway. Meeting begins at 8:15 PM sharp. This is an important meeting as we, as directed by out by-laws, begin the process of electing division officers for the year 2007.
2. As stated above we, in September, will begin the nomination process for officers of our Division. Nomination of officers will take place at the September, October, & November meetings. The actual voting for division officers will take place in the November meeting. This is your chance to elect someone you feel is qualified to lead/serve the division. Let you voice be heard. Nominate and vote!
3. At the August meeting, a motion was made and passed to suspend the rules, and appoint Brother Bob Gates to the position of Division Vice-President to serve out the remaining term through December, when the winner of the November election for vice-president will be determined.
4. Also at the August meeting, motion was made and passed that the division spend the $135.00 needed to make and own (will be divisional property from now on) a special “floppy disk” that can be used to generate the correct embroidery design for members AOH Division #1 jackets.
5. Motion was made and passed that we join with all other St. Louis Area AOH Divisions in hosting the annual AOH Christmas Party at the Czech Hall on Saturday, December 6th. Party begins at 6:30 PM with installation of Division officers beginning at 8:00 PM.
St. Louis Area A.O.H. Color Guard: The St. Louis Area A.O.H. Color Guard is in a constant search for new members to join their ranks. Your complete uniform is furnished by the Color Guard team fund. IF you are interested, please contact Terry Madden at 314/ 631-1630 or at his
e-mail address: tmadden@teamsterslocal682.com The team now under the leadership Of Terry Madden will be changing the style of uniforms after some 5 years to include kilts and a “Glengarry”, and spats in order to look more “Irish”. This does make for a real good looking uniform—Congratulations team!
