- APRIL 2007 -
A VERY Special THANK YOU goes out to everyone
for their support and
participation in this years AOH St. Patrick's Day Parade. It was one of
our largest to date.
1. Welcome to the monthly edition of the Presidents Podium. What a pleasure to see so many members in attendance at this months meeting. We are growing in membership size it seems each month. We are at an all time high of 140 members.
Welcome to our newest member, Tom Scanlon, who is a tremendous addition to the AOH and our Division. As was mentioned in last month’s newsletter, we are rapidly approaching the first re-tooled edition of the monthly Newsletter in hard copy as well as on the webpage. All interested internet subscribers, check the webpage to sign-up to receive e-mail notification. Also, in the not to distant future, an order form for AOH wearing apparel will be online for your shopping convenience.
2. As a follow up to previously reported AOH events in March 2007, the Irish Emerald Ball Committee reports that we made $4,100 on this year’s event and that a check presentation on behalf of Mr. James Holloran will be made to the Gaurdian Angel Settlement. A round of applause is to be given to Pat Maloney and to Mr. Holloran for all of their hard work. Also, the March 8, 2007 Police/ Firefighter Award Ceremony was a huge success. A great time was had by all. Salute to James Dailey Wahl for a wonderful job.
